Dried Wedding And Event Flowers
By Lisa / September 25, 2026 / No Comments
Planning a wedding and want to add the beautiful aesthetic of dried flowers without handing everything over to a florist? Most of our dried flowers are grown, harvested, and carefully dried here at The Bloomstead in Thunder Bay, but when we do bring in dried flowers we buy from Canadian organic growers. These are gathered in seasonal bundles for you to arrange yourself.
They’re for the couples and event planners who want to make their own bouquets, centrepieces, bud vases, wreaths, or other wedding flowers. The planning, designing, and arranging is all part of the celebration.
Dried flowers give you something fresh flowers can’t: TIME.
You can arrange them days or weeks before the wedding. You don’t have to worry about flowers wilting in the summer heat, finding refrigerator space, or scrambling to arrange everything the day before. And when the wedding is over, you can keep them.
Grown here. Dried here. Made yours.
The Bloomstead is a small urban flower farm in Thunder Bay, growing flowers suited to our northern seasons. And we decided to pivot to mainly growing flowers for drying in 2026. We’ll be growing and harvesting flowers specifically with dried arrangements in mind including premium blooms, grasses, seed heads, foliage, and other flowers that hold their beauty long after the growing season has ended.
Because these are locally grown seasonal flowers, your bundles won’t look exactly like anyone else’s. You’ll get flowers that reflect what grew beautifully here.
Dried Flowers Offer Flexibility
You don’t need to be a florist to make something beautiful. A bundle of dried flowers can become everything from a bridal bouquet to a flower crown, to table centres to wreaths and charming decor pieces. While dried flower arrangements, when taken care of, can last for months or even years, at The Bloomstead we also want to offer the flexibility of everything being compostable. Keep your arrangement for a season or a few years, but when you grow tired of it, you can toss it into the compost bin and it can feed the soil all over again.
Ordering Dried Flowers

For 2026 and early 2027, you can find us at a few different markets. Check this page to see where we’ll be next. Our first dried flower bundles for retail sale are planned for September 2027. There may be wholesale opportunities as well.
So this page is currently a little bit of a promise for what’s coming. When our dried flowers are ready, you’ll be able to purchase seasonal bundles directly from The Bloomstead for your own wedding and event projects. Until then, follow along as we grow, harvest, experiment, and figure out exactly what our northern garden can become.
